To Make Disciples, Who Are Committed To Making Disciples.
To Connect People To God.
To Connect People To God’s People.
To Connect People To God’s Mission.
Scripture Over Secularism — We believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant word of God. Therefore, we will look to the Bible to dictate what we teach and believe, rather than to the philosophies and teachings of our secular world.
People Over Programs — We believe that the people of our community, and of our church, are more important than the programs that we implement. We see in the Bible that Jesus was more interested in people than with the religious status quo. Therefore, He took the time to look people in the eye and to relate to them as individuals. Jesus was not interested in what he could get from people, only what he could give.
Substance Over Style — We believe that our style should reflect the culture we live in, but we do not believe that style takes precedence over substance. We believe that the content of our teaching and worship is more important that our delivery or methods.
Others Over Ourselves — One of the fundamental teachings of Jesus is that we should consider others needs in higher regard than our own needs. Serving others both in our community and in our church is therefore fundamental to us as disciples of Jesus.
Self-sacrifice Over Self-promotion — Jesus’ life and teaching exemplified the attitude of sacrifice. Jesus is known to the world today, not because of His self-promotion, but rather because of His self-sacrifice. Therefore, as disciples of Jesus, we too should be willing to sacrifice for others.
We believe that the Bible is God’s Holy Word and reveals who God is and His will for our lives.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe in one God in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 3:16-17; John 14:15-21,23-27)
We believe Jesus is God’s Son and our Savior.
We believe that every person is created in God’s image and is of immeasurable worth, but we also believe that because of people’s willful sin, that they are separated from God and in jeopardy of facing eternal punishment.
(Genesis 1:26; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23, 6:23)
We believe that salvation and forgiveness are available only by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
We believe that a person receives God’s grace by placing their faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, by repenting of sins, by confessing Jesus as Lord, and by being baptized (immersed) into Jesus for the forgiveness of sins.
(Acts 2:38-41, Acts 8:26-40, Acts 10:34-48, Acts 16:25-34)
We believe that the church is the Body of Christ on earth, and is led and empowered by the Holy Spirit for the purpose of bringing glory to God, building one another up in faith, and making disciples of Jesus.
(Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 4:1-16)
